FID Resto is the place to be on New Year’s Eve !!

We will be having two seatings with a slightly different menu for each service.

The first seating will be at 5:30-6:00 pm and the second seating will be at 8:30-9:00 pm.

The price of the first seating is $65.00 (food only)

The price of the second seating is $85.00 (food only)

All food sensitivities can easily be accommodated with advanced notice.

First seating menu:

We have been busy preparing local products for you to purchase for the holiday season.

We have peach jam, raspberry jam, plum jam and strawberry jam.

We are also selling our infused curry oil. Great on fish or in salads.

All of these products are made in our kitchen with local products and all are priced under $10.

We are also selling quince cheese in combination with a chunk of Avonlea cloth-bound cheddar.

One of Dennis’ farmers has a quince tree that overproduced this year and he made quince cheese (membrillo).

This is product has it’s origins in Spain and Portugal. It pairs amazingly with the Avonlea cheddar.

Holiday hours at FID Resto

FID will be open for Sunday brunch on December 23rd. We will be closed the evening of the 23rd and will be reopening for the evening service of December 28th. From the evening of the 28th we will be open regular hours until the 31st. We will not be open for lunch on the 31st and we will be offering two services in the evening. The first service is from 5:30 to 6:00 with a three course menu and the second service is from 8:30 to 9:00 with a more elaborate Cuisine Inventive style of menu. Don”t miss our legendary New Year’s Day Brunch from 10:00 to 2:00 (best to reserve in advance). After the brunch we will be closed until January 5th. We will be re-opening for our regular hours on the evening of the 5th.

Small plates is happening at FID Resto on the evening of Nocturne, October 13th

We will be offering only the small plates menu on this night from 5pm till midnight.

The menu consists of items from $3 to $7.

The kitchen will have some surprises for you.

We are not taking reservations for this evening. It is first come first serve.

Looking for a happening local menu to check out before or after your movie during the festival ?

The menu starts Thursday the 13th and runs until Thursday the 20th.

Menu price is $45. net. Food only.

Ok…here it is . Take a frying pan with olive oil in it.

Heat it till it is smoking and toss in two cups of local cherry tomatoes.

They should squeal !

Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic puree.

Throw in some freshly torn basil leaves and some pitted black olives.

Add a few twists of pepper, let simmer 2 minutes and you have the most amazing fish accompaniment of the Summer.

We serve it with grilled local big eye tuna.

Try this. You will not be disappointed.
